This is a practical class for students who are beginning to study architecture. In this class, students practice the basic concepts of architecture, expression methods for communication, and the basics the formative principles and construction method for 2D and 3D designs, which can be said to be the basics of the forms of buildings and space formation. Building Information Modelling은 건축가와 엔지니어가 설계작업 초기에 건물을 정확하게 시각화, 시뮬레이션하고 분석할 수 있게 함으로써 지속가능한 설계를 보다 쉽게 도출 할 수 교육과정이다. 기존 2 drawing 3 drawing에서 설계작업을 진행했다면 이제는 Building Information Modelling 이용하여 보다 구체적으로 이해하고 분석하고 설계작업을 진행하는 학습과정이다. 학생들은 1시간이론과 2시간 실습을 통하여 건축설계에 과정에 대한 Building Information Modelling 활용을 습득하게 된다. 기초 BIM과 고급 BIM은 순차적으로 이수하는 것을 원칙으로 한다.

Building Information Modeling is a curriculum that enables architects and engineers to accurately visualize, simulate, and analyze buildings in the early stages of design work so that they can more easily derive sustainable designs. Whereas design work was carried out in the existing 2 drawing 3 drawing, this is a learning process to understand and analyze buildings more concretely using Building Information Modeling before carrying out design work. Through one hour for theory and two hours for practice, students will learn the utilization of Building Information Modeling for the process of architectural design. Students should complete Basic BIM and Advanced BIM in sequence in principle.

This course sheds light on the flow of traditional Korean architecture from ancient to modern times from historical perspectives and identifies various characteristics of traditional Korean architecture. Students will understand the mutual relationship between the physical environment and patterns of life according to the regional climate of Korea. They will also understand Buddhist architecture, city or town fortresses, palaces, residences and villages, Seowon and Hyanggyo, and other structures according to the flow of time. Overall, it allows students to acquire the spatial characteristics of traditional Korean architecture.

The Advanced Building Information Modeling is a course to learn how to use BIM to efficiently manage buildings throughout the entire life cycle such as design, construction, maintenance, and management stages in the architectural design process. Building codes are the most basic and important norms that must be observed in the study termed architecture related to human residential life, which mainly prescribed various matters regarding the relationship between sites and buildings, the uses, scales, and shapes of buildings, etc., including the contents of the Certified Architects Act, the Parking Lot Act, the Urban Planning Act, and the Construction Business Act. Construction has very unique characteristic that is completed through the convergence between "architectural design and planning" and "various engineering knowledge and skills." This course aims to enable students to “Target Value Design” by converging theoretical engineering knowledge into a their own design program. In this convergence project 1, students develop their designs program by applying engineering skills such as construction methods, materials, BIM and construction management(CM). Through them, it is possible to cultivate techniques to perform evaluation(design error and quality) and analysis(construction, process, quantity, materials, etc.) for design plans.

To this end, detailed designs of buildings are included in the design process, and the contents of the energy saving systems, envelope designs, structures, and equipment systems are reflected on the plans to enhance the completeness of architectural designs.
